why does this album exist
I didn't enjoy this one at all. Even the best track, Rock Lobster, goes on far too long to be enjoyable.
@Gary - I did... I did. Still have nightmares over it and AAAAAHAHHHHHHHHH
Great one that is quite unique.
Give it a go, you will not regret it.
If this album doesn't put me in a good mood nothing will. It's so cheesy and fun I can't help but love it. My faves are Dance This Mess Around and of course Rock Lobster.
I haven't listened to the cd version yet, but I heard a live recording of the album today, and it's fairly bad. Hope that's just the live quality though, maybe the cd will be better.
The first 6 tracks are classic party tunes. The falloff after that is heavy, and the last track, "Downtown", is a pretty lifeless cover. But when the 52's were on in the early days, they were as weird and awesome as anyone...the ultimate party band.
Outlaw.'..you have no power here, be gone before someone drops a house on you too".
Wahaha ! Wait until they hear Planet Claire !!!
The Rock Lobsters taken you all... it... its taken you all...
