Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 65.1/100, a mean average of 64.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 64.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 23.9.

A very good album, a great mix of songs all mostly catchy pop-country.
There were apparently twelve singles released from this album, which feels about nine too many.
Not every song is a winner, but it's country-pop. Shave off about 4 or 5 clunkers and you've got an incredibly accessible album full of fun songs with crossover potential. (My credibility on the statement on accessibility stems from my general distaste for country pop!)
Very good album. Best 10 songs average is 90,5/100 and the album can get very good 90/100. Best songs are "You're still the one" and "That don't impress me much" both 95/100, followed by "When", "Man! I feel like a woman!" and "Rock this country!" all 90/100. All other songs good 80-85/100. Favourite!
Genre: Country Pop, Pop Rock
This is Shania Twain's best album. At least I think so. No matter what you listen to -- rock, blues, R & B, Jazz, whatever -- this is an album you're sure to enjoy, even though it's exceptionally girly, but what can I say, she's a wonderful singer and she really shows what a girl can do.
Not as strong as The Woman in Me... which isn't even ranked. She's nice to look at, at can craft great catchy pop-country. But that's about it.
I'd say I prefer the international edition, considering the fact that the US edition isn't that much country either. The album's really way too pop-oriented, but she probably intended to let audience listen to it this way in the 1st place.
The album is long I'll admit, and the music is very sugar-coated with not a lot of substance. But this album really does work. It's not meant to be an inspirational or deep thinking reflective album. It's just an album that is fun to listen to! Which is why it was one of the best selling albums of the 90s and all time!
Mutt Lange is one of the worst producers in music. I can't possibly sugar-coat that. He made the disgustingly overrated Hysteria, then got a sex-change operation with this album. That doesn't mean it doesn't have a BIT of charm, though. I do like "That Don't Impress Me Much", and the album has some surprising hints at potential greatness spread throughout the disc. But really, it's WAY too long.
Taylor Swift eat your heart out.
