Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 61.6/100, a mean average of 59.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 59.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 23.0.

Barbie Girl is a song that never quite leaves your mind completely because it's so goddamn bubbly!
But I never realized that Turn Back Time was a track by them at all. Now THAT track captured everything about the perceivable 90s.

Not good music - but funny
...and the best selling album from Denmark - ever

Ah, the nineties. Glitter and eurodance.

I listened the shit out of this record when I was a kid, but let's be serious, nostalgia will only get you so far. Still, some of these tunes are damn infectious. Whether that's good or bad is a matter of opinion.

Well... this album actually isn't that bad.. except Barbie Girl. That one is pretty bad. But Doctor Jones, Roses are Red and Turn Back Time? They're pretty good. And I have a guilty pleasure with Lollipop (Candyman)

Barbie Girl is the song that everyone knows, but the rest of tracks are very good. It is late 90s Europop at its best. Most Europop albums can barely pull 2-3 songs together let alone a whole album

Fun album. Barbie Girl pulls you in, but the rest of the songs, from Happy Boys and Girls to Calling You are just as much fun. The contrast between the two main vocalists (the girly Lene Nystrom and the Pitbullish Rene Dif) is unlike anything I've heard from any other band.

This is essentially entertaining and that's what it's meant to be. Audience should really forget about the lyrics because that's not what it tries to offer.

Ditto Happymeal, besides Barbie Girl, their other singles "My Oh My" "Doctor Jones" and "Turn Back Time" were HUGE at least in most countries in Western Europe.
The whole album is great by the way!

To JunoDog, one hit wonders are also bands who have had several songs and albums go multi platinum. Perhaps, a one hit wonder in the US, but they had many hits elsewhere.
