More great riffs on this album than most bands manage in a lifetime. It also showed their more musical side - Spiral Architect is genius. The first heavy metal album i ever bought and still one of the best.

Probably their second best album (after Paranoid), with my favorite Sabbath song of all, the title cut. "Spiral Architect" is intricate and impressive, and "Killing Yourself to Live" and "Looking for Today" are just plain great. A very, very good record.

The aggressive Iommi riffs and Ozzy's vocal style are unmistakable, but this album is more polished and stylish then Sabbath's previous four records. Extending the band's boundaries , Rick Wakeman from 'Yes' on keyboards adding something extra. High Points are "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath", "Spiral Architect" and "Looking For Today". The melodies are quite memorable. Synthesizers and orchestral arrangements with heavy guitar riffs, "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" is the most diverse, experimental and mature Sabbath album.

This is a satanic album. It is. You can so tell from the cover you are getting yourself into some pretty dark stuff. It may look all abstract from far away but up close... different story indeed. Probably pentagram stickers with the deluxe edition and the CD will try speak to you. Well it spoke to me alright. All these strange tales of acrobats and construction. It was never straight forward but that didn't hold it back. Sabbra Cadabra was energetic enough and the guitar nuts would get something out of its technical flare. Likewise for the title track, one of the better title tracks by Black Sabbath but not the best... stiff compatition there. Rest might have been good but I threw my copy out the window as soon as 'Killing Yourself To Live' to live came. Proper messed up stuff right there. I had to wringe the bleach out of my skin after this one. I don't know why I did it. Maybe the album told me to? That's my story and I'll stick to it. Not one of my best moments. Not one of Black Sabbath's either. I'm done.
