Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 73.1/100, a mean average of 71.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 73.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.6.

Clapton’s 1st official solo release is a mixed bag. After Midnight and Let it Rain are great songs and Blues Power is good but the rest is unfortunately filler.
Let It Rain is the only track worth playing on this album. The cover of After Midnight adds nothing to the original. Rest are basic, easy listening blues wallpaper.
This is actually one of his better solo albums. It is more consistent than most of what followed.
A good, fun, no-frills record that features Clapton getting his freak on with the Delaney and Bonnie/Dominos crew. After Midnight and Let it Rain are the two best known tracks, but Blues Power is a great anthem that sums up what Clapton was all about at this point in his career. Also notable for having more original recordings than any other Clapton solo album.
After Midnight is of course the reason people return to this album, but there is plenty other gems on here as well in Bad Boy, Blues Power, and Bottle of Red Wine. A solid opener to God's solo career but much better things were waiting a little further down the road.
