sageamagoo 04/20/2013 19:49Man, this is FANTASTIC. It starts out like a precursor to The Soft Bulletin, but quickly turns into something extra special.
Holes is the best opening song I've heard in a long time.
drivebytornado 03/02/2013 04:52I didn't know anything about Mercury Rev, but I saw how high this was on acclaimedmusic, so I grabbed it to give it a listen. There are a couple of amazing, beautiful tracks on here: "Holes" and "Goddess on a Hiway." The album is going very strong through the first 8 tracks, then it changes gears and the last 3 songs I end up skipping through.
It's hard to compare this to anything, since I don't have much else that sounds like this.

A beautiful album. My only complaint is that the beginning is a bit disappointing when compared to Opus 40 and the songs that follow.
