JamesCollier 10/12/2012 00:30This is as convenient, coherent and excellent as compilations get. Convenient because nothing here can be found on their studio albums. Substance is even better if you include the CD version which is twice as long, featuring rare, stunning tracks such as 'No Love Lost' and 'Glass'. An absolute must-have even for casual fans. In fact it's a great starting point.
Why is transmission rated so low? It one of their best songs!
This is an album probably best suited for Joy Division fans and completists since most of the tracks appear elsewhere. However you have different versions here including the best version of "She's Lost Control". Also the inclusion of "Love Will tear Us Apart" makes it worth the money. On its own, this is a fantastic album. You don't have to vote it lower just because the songs exist elsewhere.

I think the only noteworthy songs on this thing are Atmosphere and Love Will Tear Us Apart. Besides those you've already heard the other good ones on their main albums. Youtube Atmosphere if you haven't already, because it's possibly their best song. You would probably rate it 5/10 if you thought the other two were only 7/10.
Is this worth the listen? Is it a B-Sides or raraties album pushed into the top 1000? I know I could easily go and listen to it on youtube but there is much to do first. Can someone give me heads up first to tell me if it is worth the time for someone who found Unknown Peleasures and Closer to be Good 7/10 albums.
