I know not many people share the same opinion as me, but what makes this album so great imho is the second half, especially When You Dance I Can Really Love which is by far the greatest song this beautiful album has to offer. Admittedly his vocals are somewhat... weird sometimes(especially during the title track), but the music is so rewarding and the lyrics so inventive and emotionally sincere it is impossible to have many complaints. Maybe a little overrated, but still really great.
Probably the best of Neil's studio work. A great place to start if you're looking to find out why Neil is one of the all time greats.
Great classic album by Neil in his prime! Beautiful, effortless music. A wonderful year in music to say the least!

SingingPeasant96 03/01/2013 10:43After Gold Rush isn't like his guitar songs like Southern Man, Down By The River or Cowgirl In Sand. But it's really beautiful and lyrics makes me mad. I don't know how to describe that emotion. Anyway whole album is good too
his voice really, really annoys me.
