Very good album worth having it on the shelf and listen to it several times :)

It is so sad that Girls is no longer. I would have loved to hear another album from them. But there is always hoping that they get back together for more :)

No sophomore slump here. Girls top their debut album with these amazingly simple and honest love songs. Edges out The Vaccines' debut album for best of 2011.

I've been listening to these guys quite a bit, and I have to admit its grown on me a lot. I much prefer their debut album though. But to me the idea of the band falls into a gap. A large complaint with the original debut was that it was really inconsistent in terms of songwriting and theme, leading to a bi-polar and often times jarring album. But at the same time, the album was impossibly charming and warm feeling. FSHG, fixes that but at the cost of the debut albums charm. So I feel like their debut and this are two sides of the same coin. Though I do love both, I think Girls have a lot of potential and a lot of ability and talent, but you have to look past the idea that the majority of their sound has been created before and done before.

'Die' is good but still overrated. I don't get all the love for this band. Where is some good songwriting, strong singing and some originality?

With a mix of surfer rock, sort of psychedelic, sort of indie pop and hints of 70s prog, girls come through with a more thorough "album" than their debut. It's a painful confessional at times, but worth the time on the couch with your headphones on. (They make use of background harmonies like the killers did on "all these things that i've done".)
