Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 6% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 75.8/100, a mean average of 75.6/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 76.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 10.3.

Three bangers. IMHO ( Reach Out, Bernadette, Standing in the shadows of Love) and one almost (walk away renee)

This album is as much a testament to the songwriting genius of Holland-Dozier-Holland as it is representative of the talent of the Four Tops.

Such a great group.

Grew up with exposure to this band because my mother would always play Motown classics in the car rides to school. These guys stuck with me for sure.

Some absolute classics on this record, although it lacks cohesion and like another member mentioned they are more of a radio hits group, the record is pretty timeless with tracks still being used in pop culture today.

One of the better Motown albums from the 60's and the best Four Tops album released. Contains the hit singles Reach Out..., Bernadette, Walk Away Renee, If I Were A Carpenter, 7 Rooms of Gloom & Standing In The Shadows. Also contains a great version of Last Train to Clarksville.

Radio hits group - for me at least. They do a decent version If I Were a Carpenter and Last Train To Clarksville. Reach Out, I'll be There and Bernadette are the hits. Standing In The Shadows Of Love is also great... wow, actually way better than I originally thought for a pop group.
