I'm really surprised at all the low ratings, I understand that people didn't like this kind of sound but I really do!
As for filler tracks, U.F.O. is a sweet tune but never surfaced as anything more than 'okay' to me. Also Up With The Birds is a good song, but I think they could have come up with a WAY better album closer like they always have. I think 'Moving To Mars' would have made a perfect ending track. Also, I really really wish Rihanna wasn't on PoC. She sings fine and all but I really liked that song before it came out, I had only heard them play it live (without Rihanna, Chris sang the whole thing) at Rock am Ring in 2011. So that's how I thought the song was going to be. But it still turned out okay, but if Rihanna wasn't on it it might have been my favorite track on the whole album.

Besides these points this is a killer album. Charlie Brown is my favorite! I'm really anxious to see what they release after this. Don't know what to expect, but we never know what to expect with Coldplay do we?

Their worst album. Trying to write a hit record instead of writing what they want.

I never really liked Coldplay but I used to listen to them whenever they had a new album. This probably took a stop to that.

this is the album that makes me turn out of them. I really disappointed when this was released. Off topic/ I'm a fan of Peanuts, and I'm angry because they used my fav charcters name on sucking track

Immensely disapponting. So many poor filler tracks on this album. Easily their worst to date!

Bleh. Rush of Blood and X&Y beat this by a long shot, and Viva la Vida and Parachutes blew it out of the water. Why would anyone this good write music to fill a slot next to Mr. Beaver?

Something seems to be missing. It's not a horrible album, but I'm used to so much more from these guys.

Not as good as the other Coldplay albums, but it is still catchy. Some songs are good, but it just doesn't flow as well as some of their other albums do.

Paradise is an absolute gem and one of Coldplay's best 5 or 6 songs ever. People refuse to accept anything they do after A Rush of Blood. Amazing albums, no bad songs, the normal Coldplay routine. A must listen.

When I first listened to Mylo Xyloto I thought Coldplay went crazy. I already sort of hated Viva la Vida because I thought, and still think, it's boring. Ok Coldplay are not ment to be funny, but Parchutes and A Rush of Blood are so beautiful that I still enjoy every single listen. However, at last I bought Mylo Xyloto and from the first listening to the all thing I admit I suddenly changed idea. The two pop songs (Para-para-paradise: anyone remember "Tarzan Boy" in the 80s ? and the song with Rhianna)are terribly pop (worse than Viva la Vida - the song), it's true. But for the rest, I must say I really appriciate the album, expecially "Charlie Brown" , "Us against the world" , "Major Minus" (hard rock for the Coldplay !!!), and "Up in flames". So I rate this one better than Viva la Vita for the quality of songs even if I too am sad of seeing this great group sold to "the mainstream" in such a way. To me, the most evident clue was not only the hiring of Rhianna, but of the "usual" Brian Eno (already for Viva la Vida): why do some people say Coldplay are similar to U2 ? They are not ! These people have probably convinced Coldplay too in hiring Mr. Eno ! Good job, that true, but always the same since David Bowie's Heroes !!!
