I prefer Let England Shake but this is still very good. love her voice

Amazing album, the hidden track is the only bad one.

This is often considered PJ Harvey's best album. I think it's her third or fourth best at most, but considering the strength of her entire output, that's still saying something. Less exciting and adventurous than some of her other albums, but still a great collection of songs.

i don't find this her best yet. the songs appear like fragments randomly put together.

Top 5 albums by a female solo artist, without a doubt. I'd say it's second only to Jagged Little Pill. This album is brilliant

Definitely her most accessible and melodic, this was nice to hear after Is This Desire?. Another good album from her.

"big exit" is a big entrance for pj harvey displaying something like a sophistication she hadn't shown before. i like the urgency felt in these songs, like in "a place called home" (proceeding urgently to the one day there's "a place for us"). back-to-back tracks "the whores hustle and the hustlers whore" and "this mess we're in" are probably my favorites on this disc. "whore" hearkens back to her pre-stories stranger self (i love those wails) and "this mess we're in" utilizes thom yorke's vocals well stating as well as vocalizing the mess they're in and the closing dual vocals are interesting. Tough "this is love" and the sweet wings of "we float" are pretty cool too.

I love this. It's very melodic, and hearing Thom Yorke singing about sex is one of the funniest things ever.

Still underrated in my opinion one of the great rock albumsof all time Kamikaze is pure punk perfection, Good Fortune is life affirming pop rock while Horses in my Dreams is just haunting.

This is Love stands high above everything else on this album
