Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. The more I listen to this, the more I like it. Used to always rate the later Thin Lizzy as nothing great but seems I was wrong. Favourite song - No One Told Him
I will never understand what critics and many people alike do not enjoy about this album. It's packed with heavy rock riffs that contend with some of their best songs, and Lynott gives it an incredibly atmosphere, especially in tracks like Fats, Angel of Death, and the title track. Aside from that, you've got hard rockers such as Hollywood, The Pressure Will Blow, No One Told Him, and Leave This Town (all of which are variably fantastic), and the somewhat nostalgic feeling It's Getting Dangerous. Mexican Blood is what prevents this album from getting a 100 for me, as it feels out of place and just isn't a very good song.
