Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 12% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.6/100, a mean average of 73.9/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.8.

Easily the best of their pre-Autobahn records, but you know, that's not saying much

Easily the best of the three "pre-Autobahn" records. For starters, this one's actually quite interesting. Pretty melodies and the combination of krautrock and electronic music make "Ralf und Florian" a worthwhile listen.

Ananas Symphonie (pineapple symphony) and tongebirge (sound peaks/tone mountains) are two of the coolest soundscapes i've heard. just really cool album and the back cover alone of them in their weird practice room with all their equipment is worth having.

it makes me sad they have tried to bury their early albums, while they promote some of their later, boring but more "kraftwerk"y records like electric cafe. this along with kraftwerk I and II are some of my favorite albums, but i get that they were kind of a different band back then with a different sound.

caught a panda bear sample on person pitch that is from ananas sypmhonie. lemme know if you hear it too!
