Everything has already been said about this album. Everyone has given their 2 cents about how great it is or how some have said that they cannot hear or comprehend DSOTM's greatness. This album is a stroke of genius from the heart beats that opened with Speak to Me, to the finishing heart beats to Eclipse. Almost like a cycle of human life….
Without a doubt, this album deserves to be preserved for millenniums to come...
gtrodaIt is amazing to me how this album appeals to so many different people regardless of whatever other type of music they like. It is a rare album that seems to have appeal across genres. Truly a landmark album.
While my favorite albums vary from time to time, The Dark Side of the Moon is almost always on or near the top. This beautiful masterpiece ignited my interest into everything progressive, and continues to inspire musicians all over the world.
Timeless Classic - Hell Yeah....!!
IrishMusichead 05/17/2013 20:52My introduction to Pink Floyd, and I loved nearly every track. What can I say about this album that hasn't been already said? It's just very massive in its scope and atmosphere, "Breathe", "Time", "Money" and "Us and Them" are classic songs and is an album that you would have to listen to it at least once to see what everyone is talking about.
Will be listened to in 100 years time.....
camshBeautiful album that sounds like it could have been recorded today. It gets better with each and every listen. It's an absolutely essential purchase for any music fan, although I don't think anyone hasn't heard it yet!
Every time I listen it the album gets better. It's a milestone is music history.
For some reason, unlike it seems, every other user on this website this album does not appeal to me. I have listened to it 3 or 4 times since joining just to see if it will grow on me. Maybe if I was 20 years older I might have appreciated it more when it was around but I don't. Not saying it's a bad album or musically poor but I just don't get it.
One of the Best albums ever made not high enough in my chart though simply because I don't play it that often, I love the slide guitar on 'Great Gig In the Sky' and a tremendous vocal on it too like all 'Pink Floyd' albums must play on Headphones to hear every little element detail
