Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 78.1/100, a mean average of 77.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.3/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.0.

One of the greatest live performances ever recorded. And it's certainly the best live recording of The Rolling Stones, recorded when they played at a patient rhythm, one that was rocked up yet performed with a funky boogie. Everything that followed became ridiculously fast and poppy sounding. They were suddenly intent on rattling off as many hits as possible. This is The Stones at their best. Excellent.
I have the 40th anniversary edition, and it is a very good album. Really good version of Jumping Jack Flash,Sympathy For The Devil, and (I Can,t Get No ) Satisfation. Ike& Tina Turner along B.B. King have some lovely on album as well.
My favourite live album of all time. The Stones in excelsis. Capturing a brilliant band at their peak.
This version of 'Sympathy for the Devil' is insane! Incredible live performance of the Stones, though I still prefer Texas '78
Basta dire che sono i Rolling Stones del 1969: non serve altro…
The Stones best live record! Sympathy for the Devil live is better then it's version on Beggars Banquet
Like most live albums of the era, the sound quality leaves something to be desired. The group doesn't sound particularly tight as well, but it's still a reasonably good capture of the energy of a Stones concert. Sadly, this would be the best this great rock band managed as a live album.
It's not as good as it's reputation, but it's enjoyable enough, although in this day and age the full gig would be preferable, then it may well be able to stand upbeneath the weight of it's legendary status. Not as essential as it thinks it is.
Decent live album but feels like something is missing since it's not a complete show.
Decent material, but it's not strong enough to overcome my preference for studio over live albums.
