'Charlies good tonight'...I think this is my earliest live album along with 'Live at Leeds'(The Who)Best live track here for me is 'Midnight Rambler'.
Awful! Went on forever! Lots of these songs were better in the studio. Here... they don't work. Fuzzy in a bad way.
For a live album it's very good, but I've never really liked live records that are from multiple shows. To me Bob Dylan's Bootleg Series #4 and #6 are the pinnacle of live records because they are the entire show start to finish.
One of the few live albums that really captures everything great about its band, recorded during the undeniable peak of the Stones’ career (before the world came crashing around them at Altamont, just over a week after this album’s concerts were performed). This, Let it Bleed, and The Singles Collections are what any novice Stones fan should start with.
One of the best live albums. They sound great. This is them at the top of their game.
Mick Taylor's lead at the end of Sympathy for the Devil is one of the greatest rock guitar solos of all time........absolutely staggering and he completed shredded Mr. Richards in the process.......the Stones have been kind of irrelavent since he left........
Mick Taylor at the End of Sympathy for the Devil is one of the greatest rock guitars solos of all time..........
