Can't decide if I like this one or Agaetis Byrjun better. I could see the Sigur Ros fans arguing over which one is better the same way the Beatles fans agrue over Sgt Pepper and Revolver. I guess that makes Hoppipolla A Day In The Life then.
Puncture Repair 08/19/2012 10:23Tough to decide if this is better than Agaetis Byrjun. This album feels much more consistant, soaring and piano led, but rarely hits the heights Agaetis Byrjun gets from moments like the repeated "bongs" on Svefn-g-englar or the strings and horn arrangements in Staraflur - but Takk is short(er) and sweet. It feel like the honest, no-nonsense little brother.
It also has Hoppipolla going for it, which may well be Sigur Ros' finest effort. Milano is just as epic with it's crashing chorus and wails from Jonsi.
Incredible all the way through, one of my all time favourites. Sigur Ros somehow manages to sound big, larger than life without becoming the least bit pretentious.
I have decided that this is my favourite Sigur Rós album. My personal favourites from this album are Hoppípolla, Gong and Heysatan (which reminds me a lot of Radiohead's Motion Picture Soundtrack).

an_outlawI have absolutely nothing against this album. kidamnesiac, you can't say things like that when they are completely untrue. Go on and name this "best music in the world" that I don't like. Go on and throw as much albums at me as you can. See if there is any meaning to your word.
