This album is ranked higher in the overall chart than Blackwater Park. Just saying.

best lyrics ive ever heard on this album

I have completely forgotten what this one sounds like. I have some songs rated really highly though with some in the middle. Not going to listen again right now though

Why is this so high? This isn't even good, let alone top 500 material. The songs all have lyrics about nothing, and it's the exact same sound the entire time. It's actually fairly difficult to listen to this. 'Gone' is the only song on here that I can say is acceptable to society. The rest is just bland, and sound like the band was forced to make it.

A promising album from a very promising band results in Hello Hurricane.

Sounds like so much generic 90s fluff; reminds me of Goo Goo Dolls and a little Third Eye Blind (and that's no compliment). I am going to guess that a lot of Christians have contributed to this album's ridiculous placement on the list, and in the top 250! Of all time!! Forget it! If only we could get contributors to realize the difference between something that has some personal meaning for them, and what is truly great music. This album might score points on that first scale, but for you young people who bought into this, this is a long, long way from being a great album.

Months ago, I saw this album for $2 at my used bookstore. Being a person of faith, I considered picking it up, but ultimately decided against it (I thought it was just the "top 40 single" kind of album). A week later, I see this on the list, and I rush back to the used bookstore, only to find all the copies gone.

I was devastated. Hopefully, I'll be able to get myself a copy soon.

Switchfoot needs serious help. But they are awesome.

While at the moment it may not be much of a masterpiece, years from now people will look back at this as the best Christian Rock album of all time. The songs soothe the soul and John Foreman's voice has never been so strong for today's youth.
