sethmadsen 03/10/2013 01:37Old man Bob. His already raspy voice became old man raspy. The music on this is good, but nothing special.
drivebytornado 02/25/2013 23:08How does Bob Dylan make an album like this nearly 40 years after starting his career, and 35 years since his peak? There will never be another Dylan. This is a totally different kind of music than what he excelled at in the Freewheelin Dylan' era, or the Blonde on Blonde era, or the Blood on the Tracks era. It's also so different than the 80's Dylan, and much better too.
One of three late Dylan albums that I really like, one of his best even though his voice (naturally) isn't what it used to be.

I completely agree with NathanTen - something is wrong here. Love and Theft is right up there with This Is It in 2001 - I can't believe it ranks only the 92 for that year!
Hmm. Funny how the rankings work on this site. Love and Theft, one of Dylan's best (it's wilder and faster and more Southwestern than the digitally enhanced, but equally spectacular Time Out of Mind) and widely hailed as one of the finest albums of the last decade only comes in at number 98 for the year 2001. That must be a glitch, because except for Is This It by the Strokes, you won't find a better album from that year.
