Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.0/100, a mean average of 71.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 12.4.

This album is quite hard to find online. Luckily I found in on CD at a local music shop. I liked Rick's "Wearing the Inside Out" on Division Bell, so had hopes for this album. Ultimately a bit boring and Rick's singing isn't that good or at least it doesn't seem to suit this kind of music. In Floyd I don't think Rick was necessarily an inferior singer to David or Roger even though Rick himself has, on camera, criticized his own voice and said that he meant to get someone else to do the Broken China vocals. He sounded good to me on "Wearing the Inside Out". I might give Broken China a couple more tries though.

For me, is an incredible disc, and is the best album of a member of Pink Floyd by his own. I dont know why this album is so underrated in here, it creates great atmospheres and the melodies are just excellent. It has the essence of the Floyd in many ways.
