Some of Josh Homme's best guitar work.
Widely acclaimed as one of the greatest rock releases of the era. QOTSA's second album was rated R due to the lyrics of the lead track and single "Feel Good Hit of the Summer" - the lyrics of which were simply types of drugs sung over and over. The song works though, as does every song on the record.
a great album but lacking the standout tracks found on "songs for the deaf"
Can you be groovy and gritty at the same time? If so, this is the album that does it.
My favourite Queens album. Roars in with Feel Good Hit of The Summer and keeps the quality up, for me the first 6 songs could be singles and just as it takes a little dip for Quick and to the Pointless it comes back with the effortlesly cool In The Fade. A great rock album with just a bit of weirdness round the edges.
