Wasn't what I was expecting as the only Nick Cave album I owned up until last month was Murder Ballads. A lot different to that but a really good album. Gonna have to look into more Nick Cave on this evidence.
I still don't understand why this record is not in the top 100 of all time and top 20 of the 90's. Is one of the best records I've heard!
So relaxing in it´s sound and amazing songwriting. Cave made many great albums in the nineties but this one tops.
astelioeswills 07/15/2012 20:25being a die-hard nick cave fan, it is hard for me to imagine what this album would sound like to someone who does not know his other work. Still, it is my favorite. One of only a few pop albums that i would include in my desert island list.
