Molto probabilmente ascrivibile alla categoria "minori", Lee Fields ha dalla sua l'esperienza ( aveva 58 anni al momento dell'uscita di questo disco ), una voce che ricorda quella di James Brown ( per quanto la voce di un essere umano possa avvicinarsi a quella sovrumana di James Brown… ) e le sue canzoni ( almeno quelle di "My world" ) hanno un'atmosfera che rimanda a certe cose di Marvin Gaye. A renderlo, appunto, un minore è una scrittura che non è alla pari di quella dei nomi già citati né di quella di altri colossi della musica nera
