Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 64.8/100, a mean average of 58.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 58.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.6.

Ursa Major is pretty good. It's a step down from their first 3 albums but it holds its own as straightforward 90's pop rock.

Not much has changed in the bands style so if you were a fan before of the melodic rap-sing approach than there is plenty to like here.

Bonfire and Sharp Knife are classic 3EB and rank among their best songs.

Water Landing is excellent as well and is a slower epic.

Don't Believe a Word, the attempt at a single, is standard 3EB fare and enjoyable.

Summer Town is probably the only dud. It sounds like a semi charmed life clone without the edge and from an adult contemporary perspective

Quirky lyrics abound from One in Ten's goal to convert a lesbian and Why Cant You Be's comparisons to various appliances.

This was the last record worth tuning into from 3EB. Dopamine to follow is trash.

I enjoyed this record for what it was. Its unbelievable how Steven Jenkins was able to write another great song that was I-V-IV the whole time ("Water Landing"). I think he really stepped into songwriting refinement with "Why can't you be?", a song about asking your significant other to be something that they are not, and learning how to accept. The live version of this one is nice as well. I enjoyed this record just as much as Out of the Vein.
