I consider this the best greatest hits collection of all time and if I were to include greatest hits albums on my chart, one of the best albums of all time.

I remember the first time I heard "Dance to the Music" which was their first single, 1968, I couldn't believe what I was hearing, it was the next step in the evolution of funk and which would explode in the 70s(Ohio Players, Parliament/Funkadelic, Confunktion,Slave,Barkays,etc.)..but my favorite of their and one of my all time favorite singles was "Family Affair", 1971.

This band was super exciting and sounded phenomenal live. I have The Best Of Sly & The Family Stone 1994 which has all the tracks of this album and many more.
