Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. It's a really good album, I don't know why people don't rate this.
Singles Crawling in the dark and Running away are excellent tracks.
Other none singles such as Let you know, Better and Pieces are also good.
Up and Gone, Give it back, Remember me and Ready for you aren't too bad.
I prefer Hoobastank's nu metal side over their post-grunge side but the post-grunge side is still listenable.
But out of this album and The Reason, Hoobastank's debut takes the cake.
It's still a damn shame that this album only has 11 ratings (well, 12 now as I've rated it myself, ha ha).
Don't hate me but I'm into this kind of music with bands that have a similar sound to Hoobastank such as Incubus, Linkin Park, Puddle of Mudd, Seether, System of a Down, Nickelback, Theory of a Deadman, Limp Bizkit, etc.
Hoobastank's debut is mainstream melodic punchy pretty punk rock with a glazed sheen.
There isn't a lot distinguishing them from their contemporaries at this point apart from the energetic vocals.
Singles Crawling in the Dark and Running Away are pretty good.
Give it Back and Pieces are above average. The rest of this is filler.
Hoobastank has never been very good apart from a couple singles.
The album to follow, The Reason, is their best album as a whole with more consistency from top to bottom
