I've tried it, listened to it over and over again, but I guess i don't have the brains to grasp this.

If you've never imagined a vast fantasy universe of your own, or hay if you've never been sad or longing a single time in your life, then this album will do nothing for you except make you realize what you've been missing. It's the human experience seen through her own expansive, sometimes frighting and yet always beautiful alternate world, where the difference between the one we live in now is really only in her mirthful, vivid details. A must, even if it'll break your heart

Only Skin is the greatest song I've ever heard.

Sure, it's a great album. But I'm tired of all these hipsters who finger their assholes to this music.

MASTERPIECE

Just doesn't do it for me.

I was resistant to this album at first. The Milk-Eyed Mender didn't do a whole lot for me. Maybe parts of it were a little too precious? I like it more now but it was a bit off putting at first.

But I finally checked this out probably a year after it was released and holy shit can this gal tell a story and write a melody. Only Skin somehow clocks in at just under 17 minutes, which is surprising because I always wish it would go on just a bit longer. I can safely say this is the greatest harp album of all time.

Birds chirp in the trees outside my room, particularly in the morning. One day I woke up, opened the window, and played Ys while hearing the birds in the background. It brought the record to new levels of awesome.
