There's a feeling of tension and panic on The Stooges debut that can't be found on any rock music recorded before it.
Except for the first sentence (Fun House is more consistent) I completely agree with Hayden's comment here.
A great debut leading up to the masterpiece Fun House.\
This may be good, but funhouse kicks its ass.
This would have been higher but for We Will Fall. Sometimes I love it, but other times I just skip onto the incredible No Fun.
Iggy and The Stooges were the first to push rock and roll to the extremes and they are in a sense the ultimate anthesis of urbane respectability. They are, in other words, the epitome of rock and roll in all of its grim degrading depravity and erotic delusions.
In my opinion, best Stooges album. First 5 songs are great, last 3 a slightly weaker, but it still has the rawness of their other albums, just a bit more refined. 85/100
A good album although the two first tracks stand out so far that the rest of the album does appear a bit pale.
