The Funeral Party is so awesome
Secondsoul 01/20/2013 14:39The band's sound was developing around the time that they made this album. Brings back great memories, this was my music back in the early eighties. Still love 'Primary'
A great atmospheric album, much in the same way as "Seventeen Seconds" I like to listen to "Seventeen Seconds", "Faith", and "Pornography" one after the other for a great 2 hours of a single introspective mood.
lightmyway 05/15/2012 19:17This is another great glum-sounding Cure album but for me the songs aren't really memorable, or at least not as much so as they were on Seventeen Seconds... or would be on their next string of releases.
A darker Cure is always a finer Cure, this is definetely their most underrated as it stands toe to toe with Pornography and has a far mor elaborated and ambitious sound than their latter masterpieces, it is probably because it doesn't have a particular stand out that is usually not that appreciated by their fans plus they rarely play the material live...
All Cats Are Grey,Other Voices,The Funeral Party and Faith is the best songs on this album!
