Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.1/100, a mean average of 72.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 9.7.

Quite a mediocre album in terms of song and hit quality. A few banger candidates. Actually, my concern is the arrangements of the songs, they sound big and even noisy, More subtle approach and more ballads could have made the difference,
Not as good as Dusty in Memphis or as consistent as A Girl called Dusty, but has some really great tracks on here. I agree that her version of Oh no, not my baby is stellar. There is a run of consistently strong tracks towards the end of the album that are almost Dusty in Memphis standard. A strong album overall.
Not a bad Dusty record but certainly not her best. There are no killer tracks on here, but it's all very competent, albeit a bit forgettable. Good, but there are better Dusty albums.
As a fan of the voice Dusty Springfield and her great hit-singles, especially "Son of a Preacher" Man", years back I bought a compilation of her hits as well as her much acclaimed "Dusty in Memphis" and her debut "A Girl Called Dusty" .
Having read a portrait article about her, renewed my interest, and I thought her second album "Everything's Coming up Dusty" would be the logical next buy.
I expected it to be much in the same vein as her debut; and in some ways it is; and somehow it's also pretty different. Dusty's voice of course is all over it, and it's mostly great. My objections towards this album compared to her debut is that several tracks suffer from heavy orchestration and that the songs are generally not quite up to the high standards of her debut.
There are exceptions of, course. A song that I always disliked with the Manfred Mann is "Oh No, Not My Baby", but Dusty's version here is great. Rod Argent's Motown inspired "If It Don't Work Out" written for Dusty, is another stand-out. Try listening to the Zombies own version, which is at least just as fine.
"It Was Easier to Hurt Him" is classic Dusty; a great song and great performance. The bonus tracks are good, but really no more; none of them made any strong impression.
