Great album, bought it as a kid when it came out, think that much of it was over my head in the 7th grade, but remember loving "Sweet thing" "astral weeks' and "Slim slow Slider" which remains my fav cut on this album.

I've only heard it once, so I'll have to give it a few more listens to decide exactly how I feel about it, but it's a beautiful album. "Astral Weeks" and "Madame George" are the highlights.

I agree that this is Van Morrison's best album, but please check out Moondance and Saint Dominic's Preview which are almost as good. Beside You and The Way Young Lovers Do are my favourites here.

Love this album. It has such great bass, singing and it isn't too folky to turn me off. One of the greats of the 60s for sure.

I bought this album after listening to his best of vol 1 and was different to what I expected. Doesn't get you straight away and then it just clicks. I've forced this album onto more people than I care to remember as everyone should have this in their life!

Mezmerising from start to finish, this beautiful and uplifting tour de force is the perfect synthesis of rich stream of consciousness poetic imagery and music ever recorded. This album will never date.
