Still Air's best album although Virgin Suicides runs it pretty close. A warm, enveloping chill-out album, with shades of Burt Baccarach. Femme d'Argent, Sexy Boy and Voyage de Penelope stand-outs.

Relaxing, dreamy, mellow atmospheric album.

Some incredible songs here, but a couple of tracks really let it down as an album. I still rate it very highly because the good tracks really are brilliant.

At first glance I see a lot of similarities between this band and another french, electronic duo, known as Daft Punk. So I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I went out of my way to give this album a listen. To my surprise I was quite pleased. Even though I was worried that I would be wasting my time with a Daft Punk clone, I quickly fell in love with the way this album made me feel. It quickly became apparent that the only thing Daft Punk and Air had in common (Musically speaking) was the fact that they both use electronic instrumentation. Air is more eclectic than Daft Punk and much more peaceful. Daft Punk creates in your face dance music(not saying that like it is a bad thing), whereas Air created an electronic masterpiece that makes me feel like I am floating amongst clouds. This album sounds like Air. It sounds like a soft whisper that takes the listener wherever the wind blows. From up in the clouds on songs like Talisman, All I Need, and Remember, to down in the french streets on Sexy Boy, and to a softer kind of dance club for Kelly Watch the Stars. Overall this album is one of the best of the 90s as well as a great debut album. I would have loved to have seen these two perform in France back in 1998.

Just bought this second hand as part of a buy one, get one free deal! WORTH IT!! Will have to try and fit it into my chart eventually :P

I used to hate Sexy Boy because of a perfume ad it used to appear in... I was relistening yesterday and it was just astonishing. It is so beautiful and relaxed, their best for sure, this and The Virgin Suicides OST are premium masterpieces....
