Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 79.1/100, a mean average of 77.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.5/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.6.

Not the first album I ever bought but certainly the first new release I bought. It is still arguably the most essential Morrissey solo compilation to date, featuring the singles and b-sides from 1988 to 1990. My only gripe is it didn't include Sister I'm A Poet and I Know Very Well How I Got My Name.
Great compilation that is on par with anything The Smiths did especially the first 9 tracks. If I had to pick one Morrissey album this would by far be the one.
Should I count this among my favorite albums of the 1990s, since it is a compilation? Well, honestly, I have no huge objection to including best ofs and comps, but it'll have to be THAT good. Listening to this now for the first time. Good vibes. Sounds remarkably less droll than The Smiths (which I still love anyway).
Classic Morrissey compilation, similar to The Smiths, Hatful of hollow, in that it was released after just one studio album. A strong set featuring two of Moz's most memorable singles in, Everyday is like Sunday, and, Suedehead. Excellent.
The most essential Morrissey album. Even as a compilation it stands shoulder to shoulder with the Smith's catalogue and other than suedehead and everyday... none of these tracks can be found on a studio disc.
How I loved this album when it came out. Here in the States, we didn't get the same exposure to all the Brit singles that The Smiths/Morrissey released, so albums like this were a godsend.
Out of the entire track list, I think only "Ouija Board, Ouija Board" doesn't resonate with me. The rest of the songs are pure ear candy.
Good singles comp; extremely consistent.
The release of a compilation only 2 albums into a solo career is a strange idea, so it's even more miraculous that this still remains one of the best and most consistent collects of Morrissey tracks available.
