Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 2% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 78.7/100, a mean average of 77.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.9/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.1.

Basically the greatest indie rock album ever. Well at least it's the most fun and the catchiest. It's a crazy album, it's zany and there's so much energy going on here it's incredible.
Revisiting this: So great. One of the best albums I've ever heard. It's like there are 5 mini songs packed into every song. They switch everything up so effortlessly it's amazing.
Such a hidden gem. I share this album whenever someone is looking for a recommendation or even if they're not. A sonic masterpiece!
I'm so happy I saw someone tweet about this album because I probably would've never heard of it otherwise. Great album. Only knock on it is that I get the feeling that it was supposed to end before it actually has.
One of the most underrated albums on this site. It's absolutely incredible, and I think that if there is such a thing as a '10/10' album, then this is it.
94/100
Fav tracks: Tuff luff, I was born (a unicorn), Sea Ghost
Malgré les sujets plutôt sérieux (la mort, les fantômes, etc.), cet album me fait sourire comme un enfant à chaque écoute.
Incredible and unique album. This and Return to the Sea make probably the best one-two punch in indie pop history.
This album is amazing. I love how the songs are so structureless while at the same time being very melodic and accessible; as well as the extremely unique instrumentation.
I hate that I like this so much. I mean, as I was reading the lyrics on spotify, I got a "wonderful" picture of a girl in a unicorn costume holding a tiny yippy dog- also in a unicorn costume. But theey have brilliant sporatic songwriting (Kinda reminds me of the Microphones "the glow, pt. 2"), but do it in a very poppy, yet also not poppy way. I don't know if I'm actually making sense or not here- so just listen to it yourself.
