Discazo. No me canso nunca de escucharlo.
Good 80's, despite everything that was cool years with good music :)
Don't scoff... This is good fun.
What KISS made it in the 70s these guys took it further. Motley is one of the best hard rock/metal bands ever for music and attitude. Dr. Feelgood, Kickstart My Heart and Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away) are truly hard rock anthems.
Ah, 80's hair glam bubblegum metal pop. Motley Crue's 5th album was a huge smash, with 4 top 30 singles and massive sales. This album had all of the Hollywood Glam prerequisites: apostrophe shortened song titles (Same Ol' Situation), umlauts, aquanet, songs about groupie sex ("She Goes Down"), a song that would be perfect for The Archies if you take out the guitars and bring the vocals down 1 octave ("Sticky Sweet"), and of course, the power ballad ("Without You"). The albums best song, "Kickstart My Heart" is a lyrically empty ode to dying and coming back to life, which Nikki Sixx did. The worst track, "Time For Change", is what USA for Africa would have sounded like with guitars.
The strangest thing for me about this album is that, despite not having a lot of harmony parts, there are 13 backup singers credited...including Steven Tyler, Robin Zander, Bryan Adams, Jack Blades, Rick Nielsen, and Sebastian Bach. So what was Vince Neil actually doing?
As good as pop hair metal got. I guess.
I have always liked this album. It is a little more commercial than perhaps the Crue's best work, but a good solid listen if you like 80's style hard rock.
