Full of gorgeous melodies, but a little slow for my taste. Definitely an album I'd recommend to a fan of the genre, however.

I'd suggest this record to anyone who hasn't heard it yet, but I wouldn't for a second expect everyone to like it. It's got a bit of that sad bastard quality that I like, but many don't.

Great album, I love the mix of traditonal folk with bits of alternative sound. Has a good sense of comfort to it, that seems to make the world feel like a warmer place even if the music isn't necessarily happy. Wolves, Blindsided, and RE Stacks are fantastic, and Skinny Love and For Emma are easily the two greatest songs Vernon ever created.

Loving it. Has a resemblance to The Creek Drank The Cradle, one of my all time favorite albums. Both absolutely beautiful.

Great record. One of the loneliest albums you'll stumble upon. All the aspects of the record are simple, and that is a good thing. The simple straightforward setting is a perfect platform to display the overwhelming emotion of the record. Very good record!

There is a great feeling of peacefulness while listening through this album. His voice is unique and adds to that peace a fragile and beautiful sensation.

Never been a big fan of folk music, but I enjoy the interesting mix of sounds and instruments they use in this band. If anyone has seen the SNL skit with Justin Timberlake guest staring as Bon Iver's lead singer for a quick moment and Andy Sandberg as the typical white guy rocking out to his music knows that basically is what this music is. Nothing too special, but can be poetic if you listen to the lyrics.
