Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 72.1/100, a mean average of 70.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 72.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.3.

Good album but a lot less focus than his last 3.
It's a great combo of his original sound with hints of the more heartfelt turn he'd take on the following records
This is a classic Tyler album with classic Tyler production and rapping. Not as harsh as Bastard or Goblin but it's good. It's memorable and you can put it on and not think too hard about it.
Tyler The Creator quickly found himself in the limelight. With his "Goblin", we can see the talent of a kid capable of real flashes of genius, but only when he stops a little chanting of "Golf Wang" all the time. "Goblin" was a first album as promising as uneven, which I was a little disappointed. With "Wolf", the young wolf Tyler proves that he is aging well. Very well even. "Wolf" succeeds in bouncing good ideas into good ideas, allowing the MC to experiment and evolve his music with insolent nonchalance. Tyler the Creator gives us a record that is not yet the album of maturity, but certainly marks the victory of an inspired artistic adolescence that still guarantees good days for Odd Future.
7/10
Best track: "Answer"
Would be a better experience if some of the fat was trimmed off this album. Production isn't bad at all.
Very clever, quality production, often fun to listen to, but in 2013, isn't it time to move past the word "fag"?
Too long
Too inconsistent
Some nice songs though
How to ruin pretty well arranged beats with poor lyrics...
Tyler seems a bit disjointed. Sometimes he’s rapping about something incredibly personal, like his absent father on “Answer", and next he’s rapping about how awesome he is and how much everyone loves him (even to a crazy extent, like on “Colossus", which is actually kind of funny). There are some really good songs on here, but the album really loses steam around the strange, disjointed seven-minute song (but really, three songs) “PartyIsntOver/Campfire/Bimmer" and for the next couple tracks after that. It starts off strong, and then it gets bumpy the rest of the way. There’s a lot to like here though, “Answer" is a beautifully personal song, “Domo23", the lead single, is great, and “Slater", featuring the great Frank Ocean, is great too. It’s a good album, just a little bumpy and a little long, though I wouldn’t mind the length if all the songs were worthwhile. Overall, a solid album though.
It's a pretty mixed bag. Many of the tracks are just average to slightly above average and even my favorite ones have something questionable about them, whether it be a moment of sloppy production, weak lyrics, or a tacky vocal sample. Answer and Colossus are highlights.
