Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 71.7/100, a mean average of 70.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 16.1.

It's very formulaic. At the time it seemed all the rage but over time this album hasn't aged well. It could be and should be a lot more from some of the best musicians around.

Imagine the disappointment of hearing that four prog rock legends were forming a band only to get a collection of lukewarm pop rock songs. Even Heat of the Moment isn't good in retrospect.
Though Time Again isn't horrible, a pretty alright example of short form progressive rock songs.
Like many of you, I was disappointed when this came out because it didn't sound enough like Yes or King Crimson. No denying it's got some good tunes on it though. Without You is my pick of the bunch. They were never this good again.
Some consider this too 'poppy'. This 'supergroup' was formed from the ashes of 'Yes', 'King Crimson' and 'ELP' and given its release in 1982 could never have been 'Close to the Edge', 'Brain Salad Surgery', or 'In the Court of the Crimson King'. Granted, the album is radio friendly and delivered some fairly big hits but when you actually play it from end to end the prog influences are still there. I like the album as a whole so if you are going to buy any Asia album then I recommend this one.
Prog-styled arena corporate rock. Painfully dated, but for it's time, not bad stuff.
This album is a mash up of 80s synth-pop, symphonic rock with some prog elements throwed in randomly. It's closer to ELP than to Yes on the "prog scale". Cheesy af and hasn t aged well, but it remains enjoyable and one of my guilty pleasure to listen to.
Like i sometimes listen to "eye of a tiger" with a little smile.
Esperaba un poco más con este álbum, es bueno en general pero creo que queda a deber con la calidad de músicos que lo interpretan
This album is understandably divisive. Given the prog pedigrees of the musicians making up this supergroup, this album was expected to be serious prog. But it is much more mainstream AOR. Like most, I was very disappointed upon first listen. But if you're willing to set aside your preconceived expectations and see this album for what it is, it is actually excellent.
