Blood on the Tracks is a cool album title
Folk beauties. Album rock by definition. Not many bad moments. Lily, Rosemary, and the Jack of Hearts is a little too long.
Agree entirely with Mrbrown, but don't recall Bob murdering an ex wife as an_outlaw is suggesting?
My favorite Bob Dylan album and one of the best (if not the best) break up album ever.
When I first heard this album, I wasn't Dylan's fan and I thought that "Is this music or some kinda jokes of Drunken old man?" and Now it's one of my favourite album and in my chart. masterpiece
I enjoy the more personal lyrics and some beautifully played acoustic guitar. Idiot Wind is his most scathing song since Like a Rolling Stone.
A gorgeous album. The first half is nearly flawless. The second half loses some steam, but it's still got its moments.
Buckets of Rain is one of my favs!
The production/performance on this album brings out the layers that bob has always had very well. Music overall doesn't grab me, but isn't bad.
Wrote after murdering an ex-wife, this album was never going to be a happy affair. The simple music of 'Tangeled Up In Blue' is a pleasure to the ear. I really like the narrative to it, story is a classic one. Reading poetry from 15th Century, best part. Gets sadder later on. 'Idiot Wind' is scathing, bitter and twisted, 'Lily, Rosemary And The Jack Of Hearts' ends rather badly considering how things ended up. The broken hearted valentine album, a credit to Bob Dylan's collection of works.
