Mary Chapin-Carpenter's third album finds the singer-songwriter hitting her stride and getting some success in the commercial country market with her singer-songwriter folk music with a pop-rock twist. This record produced four more top 20 hits and a top 20 album. A nice treat is the zydeco-infused Down at the Twist and Shout.
One of her finest records. Highly recommended.
