Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 69.6/100, a mean average of 68.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 69.4/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.6.

Just ok. Nothing special, I'd say.
I've never quite understood how this collaboration between James Mercer and Danger Mouse fully utilizes Danger Mouse's talents, since there are really no traces of his solo work or his work with Gnarls Barkley. Nonetheless, this second installment from the duo really works--the melodies are flawless, the songs are groovy, and every time I hear a track from this album, I want to turn it up loud. Perhaps that's one ultimate test for what makes an album great: it's turnupability.
Haven't listened to the debut, but this one is good. I mean, it's no masterpice, but is a pretty listenable album. Has very good tracks and some average ones. 79/100
awful album :\ their debut beats this on so many levels
"Holding On For Life" is your typical disco jam, so that deserves a listen. The only jammin' tune on here is the title track.
Yeah, not my AOTY anymore.
At all
I like this album better than their first one. Not sure why everyone is so down on this.
I'll take it over "Port of Morrow" any day.
Just fine. Not as good as the first one.
Danger Mouse and Mercer prove again they have very special chemistry
