Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. It's an OK album but really nothing special. On my version there is 'Yo Mamas a Pajama', one of their more interesting tracks.
I truly enjoy this record, it does sound dated but still puts a smile on my face. Truly trumps everything else in their canon. But i truly find this record to be highly underrated. I think its because the rest of their stuff sucks so bad.

Hit singles are great. The rest is clumsy. Exhibit A: "What time is it? Uh uh... 4:30... It's not late, no no! It's early, early, early!"
After the hit singles, not much else.
Two princes was great!

Due to oversaturation on the airwaves of "Two Princes" this album unfortunately goes underrated and overlooked. It's actually an incredibly solid guitar-rock album. The Doctors never did anything as good again (nor was their debut album in this class), but this one's great from start to finish.
