Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 59.1/100, a mean average of 57.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 57.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 22.0.

Back in the day, this was some of the most enjoyable pop rap on the block. And after a decade, this record feels a lot more magical and hasn't lost its luster at all. I prefer this over than most of the pop rap we get nowadays where these new guys and girls can't have fun or just don't speak to me at all. Also excited for there new album coming out. Hopefully fans and cynics could enjoy it.

Jeez, so much sampling and referencing the greats of history. Furthermore, it’s a bit an Elephunk part II.
This album is pop in its purest form: themes only focussed on relatableness; sexy sells (difference with “sex sells”: this was the initiative of the woman herself); a production that goes fucking everywhere, ‘cause the main goal of pop is enjoyment (not money as a lot of people think and Wikipedia likes to suggest) and no method to reach that goal should be looked down upon. And while there is nothing wrong with all that, I like to judge albums on originality, and none of these million parts of the album are really new; it’s only new in the way that no one ever put them together like this (maybe Outkast). But it’s oh so mf cathy, so a 7/10 is justified.

“Stupid” lyrics? I prefer the term “impressionistically hedonistic”. Also, I thought we were talking about music; not poetry?

There's a lot of hate for this group for some reason. There's some solid hip-hop tracks on here though. Sure it's pop music, but it still has some interesting stuff going on.

How many artists can mix Pop, Hip-Hop, R&B and Funk of this way?. When I listen this it's like back to my childhood. I grew up while the radio played these songs. Still sounds really fresh .There is not a bad song on this album. Fergie is the atraction but William as a producer was amazing!

"My Humps" - so annoying, such stupid lyrics. The success of this dreck resulted in having to put up with a whole album from Fergie.

Good hip hop/R&B album. Best 10 songs average is 78,7/100 and the album can get good 80/100. Songs are average to good until song 9 and after that poor. Best songs are "Don't lie" and "My humps" both 85/100, followed by "Don't phunk with my heart" and "My style" both 80/100.

The downward slide to creative sludge is well on it's way. Saved by the collaborations with James Brown and Jack Johnson. Should have stopped here, but the paycheques were just getting huge.
