Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 71.6/100, a mean average of 70.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 71.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 14.6.

Underrated album 🤷🏻♂️ I like 2 1st their albums 👍🏻
When Rejoice comes in - I do.
Big U2 fan but this is their weakest offering that I've heard so far for me. Couldn't really get in to it. The guitar on Gloria is glori-ous, I also like Fire and the instrumentals on the closing track, but otherwise it's fairly forgettable.
I can't get along with vocals, Bono's voice grates and this lets the band down immensely because the music is otherwise excellent.
Menos consistente, mas ainda com alguns golpes fortes.
I love Tomorrow. I Fall Down and Gloria, are very good. The rest is mostly average.
Early U2 always sounded good, played well, good production etc. On this album though they forgot to write some songs. Or more likely they were told to make a record but weren't ready after the debut. There are a couple of stand outs but mostly just pedestrian. Whatever the problems they had with October had defiantly been resolved when it came to making the next record.
Very average, doesn't really have any stand out tracks. The band sounds good but the songs aren't memorable besides Gloria, I Fall Down, and Rejoice.
Love it so much! Fall Down is my favorite song in this record
A decent album from the early works. Not a lot of classic hits and really the album as a whole is a little hit or miss to me. I do enjoy Gloria and I Fall Down
