Alanis' voice makes this album awesome. Without it, it would be an average rock album most likely.

You Oughta Know is a great single. There are plenty other likable tracks in here, and she certainly has good songwriting skills (she's also not as bad a singer as some are making her out to be) but generally, it doesn't gain my enthusiasm and it hasn't dated as well as other notorious '90s albums. And, unlike Scaruffi, I like it a lot less than works by The Beatles, LZ and The Dark Side of the Moon.

Surprisingly a great album. At least five hit songs, and a handful of other solid tracks. It is the only female album in my top 40.

I remember VH1 doing best songs of all time back in the late 90s... guess what was number 1? Ironic... although good, maybe not the best song ever written.

A bit of filler, but good chick rock.

Raw, simple, but well done. This was written, recorded and produced only by Alanis and Ballard in a home studio. A good example that less is more, it only takes talent to do it.

I've gotten through half the album, and I have to say it's a very good album for it's genre. The only problem is Alanis's voice.

Not a bad song on it and almost all were hits and played on the radio... 16 on my list and well deserved.

One of the albums that changed music. Two decades later, seems like every female vocal lead still wants to be like her.
