Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 63.3/100, a mean average of 61.0/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 61.0/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.2.

I like Lily's first 2 albums. Quite excited when I saw she'd put out a third. This however is terrible. She went down the horrible commercial pop road. Absolute shite.
An embarrassing downfall with very few tracks worth listening to. The inclusion of the overly sentimental M&S advert song tacked onto the end is hilarious. Overall it represents a diluted, confused vision complete with problematic politics.
A step-down from her first two pretty good albums, but nonetheless "Sheezus" sometimes manages to captivate with a load of catchy songs, even if there are more misfires and the scathing subtext is less apparent.
I know this is a 'serious' site and some may find me a bit odd liking Lily but everyone needs a blast of something like this every now and again....catchy pop! Lyrics make you cringe a bit sometimes but so what. Great fun.
Some of her phrasing makes me cringe, like the previous albums. Decent enough.
5 tracks in currently. The definition of 'guilty pleasure'. Nothing deep or progressive here, just straight bubble gum pop. The one benefit of such a genre is immediate accessibility. So while this isn't going to be critically acclaimed by any means, it's nice to hear a fun record like this every now and then that doesn't sound too obnoxious like say a Lady GaGa. This album is valuable for the same reason Pharrell's is this year.
