Every song is great on its own and together they form a magnificant album.
My favorites are Unnatural Selection, I Belong To You and The Exogenesis Symphony, but I really love each and every composition.
I even enjoy the bombastic bits wich can be called as "over the top", only Muse dares to make such melodies.
I recommend this album to everyone!
Yeah... Actually kinda decent but its lyrics are very repititious, it's tremendously uneven at parts (the two greatest moments of the album, Unnatural Selection and MK Ultra are followed by the absolutely terrible I Belong To You-why the hell are they singing in French anyway, are they Arcade Fire or something?) and, yes, overblown (by track 4 they give the impression they want to be Queen, by the time we have arrived to the last three tracks, it's official that they believe they are composing classical music). Again, it's very well made, and some parts of it are really enjoyable, but overall it's "less than meets the ear".
This album turned me off Muse, liked their previous work but this was just too over the top.
Damn wow! This album sounds more like the year 2009 than any album that came out that year, simply great electro-space-orchesrta-dance all in one album, what more could you want?
i could NOT get into this album AT ALL. it bored me after the first liston and muse used to give me goosebumps. it was a turn for the worst and now they sound like wanna-be-queen
Well, this is worse than Hysteria and Origin Of Symmetry, but it is not a bad album. It's just ...meh. Uprising may be the strongest track.
