Light and enjoyable. A very fun and positive listen that shows that Phoenix is way more then just another indie pop band. Fences and Girlfriend are the highlights, while Lisztomania is an absolute classic that will definitely go down in the books as one of pop's great masterpieces.

I just think this is a lot of fun to listen to. Not the greatest thing ever, but sometimes I get really in the mood for this.

A landmark album for my change in taste of music, and for that maybe it gets more credit in my book. I hate comparing anyone to anyone, but I like to think of Phoenix as what Of Montreal would sound like if they actually sounded good. Following It's Never Been Like That, this album shows how Phoenix truly found their special indie-pop sound after their more alternative rock origins.

The song Fences reminds me of the Bee Gees. Really enjoy this album. Glad you guys had it in your charts.

The first two tracks, "lisztomania" and "1901", are killer. Nice bass and chorus makes "fences". "love like a sunset" will probably make-or-break this album as a 2009 favorite for most people -- it's mostly a varying instrumental piece that ends "on the horizon". Almost all tracks are nearly as catchy as indie new wavey power pop as the first two tracks.

really like this album. Great combination of pop and alternative. It starts of incredibly strong with the first two tracks and I think it only gets better. One of the best albums from the last decade.

I understand that people find this repetitive, and I get it. However, it is still a great album, kinda like how Vampire Weekend's albums are. Its hard not to love a lot of it, and the sound they repeat on a lot of the songs is not a bad sound.
