not as good as i thought it would be. specially after seeing pitchfork put it at #1 on their best of 70s.
A great ambient album, especially the last few tracks on the ambient.
zwas this album the beginning of new age ambience? Oh, please no.
I love the combination of David Bowie with Brian Eno, achieve a futuristic and edgy sound that will last forever
While his music is quality, I just don't connect with it... even this one, which I think the quality of music is actually his highest.
Very different from what I had come to expect from Bowie, but yet quite charming and beautiful. The division in the fragmented A side and the more artsy orchestrated B side provide an excellent equation for Bowie's talent as one of the world's greatest musical artists.
Subterraneans is absolutely breath taking, brilliant collaboration between Bowie and Eno - as is the entire album.
I totally agree with Santiago.
S2S and Low are Bowie's 2 greatest albums and that is saying something cause practically everything he did from 1970-80 was exceptional.
One of the best albums of all time and one of Bowie's two best records along with Station to Station.
The first jewel of the Berlin trilogy. The beginning of the future!
