one of the best punk albums of all time.
For a long time I didn't listen to Dead Kennedys because I thought I didn't like Biafra's vocals, but when I finally made myself listen to this album all the way through I was converted by the end, and it's now my favorite punk album.
I never heard it before, but it's actually good.
While Dead Kennedys get lauded for their incisive lyrics (rightfully so) the musicianship and tunes on this album are simple, aggressive, and cutting. Appropriate for the music. For me, they are as influential as the Sex Pistols or the Ramones.
Proof, there's always room for Jello! Possibly the best California punk album ever. And yes, I'm aware of Black Flag. Don't forget to pack a wife!

The texts are hilarious in that "this is horrible" sort of way “Kill the poor”, "I kill children, I make mama`s cry”, “God told me to skin you alive” ... you know, that sort of wholesome family fun. That raw power punk just does not seem to age for me. If you do not like that album be wary, could you be one of the rotting vegetables of the title?
